An Ocean Breeze Puts a Mind at Ease

The culmination of our beach trip was a photo shoot with the most artistic photographers we know, Erin and Corey Snapp of Snapp-Shot Photography. We discovered them four years ago when looking for someone to fulfill our dream of family beach photos. Quickly falling in love with their art and passion, we became friends and continue to ask them to photograph our family when we vacation in North Carolina.

One of the most unique facets of using the same photographers each year is the ability to see our children grow right before our eyes in the same location. Take a look back at our photoshoots.

Although we missed a trip to Holden Beach last year, our cruise will still be considered one of my most favorite trips of all time.

Our children are our greatest blessing and joy.

"Baby Girl"
She's not a baby girl anymore though. She's turning into a confident, caring and smart big girl. Her new name for my future posts will be, "Little Lady."

"Baby Boy"
He's not a little baby anymore either! Since beginning school, his  personality for being a sweet, introspective and strong willed child are showing! His future blog name will be, "Little Man."

"Tiny Blessing"
Not so tiny anymore, although still very much a blessing. Our third child is a firecracker of sass, a definite momma's girl, and full of spunk. I am reminded of a scene from the movie, Pippi Longstocking where she invents a new word and goes around yelling, "Spunk!" So it only seems appropriate that my own little Pippi be dubbed, "Spunk!"

As we are in our 12th year of marriage and 19 years of friendship, I couldn't imagine loving anyone more than I love him. I'm forever grateful for meeting him on that yellow school bus so many years ago.

We shared our vacation with two of the sweetest and most selfless people we know, Dale's parents. The kids loved spending an entire week with them and were sad to say goodbye.

What a wonderful way to end our week. Until we meet again, Holden Beach!
